Complete 3D Home Design prepares house plans that bridge the gap to take your future home from an idea to reality. The key of this process is to keep you informed throughout the design process, every step on the way from the concept to the work drawing, which any builder can build your house from.
I design homes using Chief Architect Software, the best on the market for residential and commercial building applications. My long time experience in industrial project engineering is very helpful in understanding challenges which the construction business faces today. A number of homes I designed in the past have been built by reputable builders in western North Carolina and surrounding areas. Working for individual owners or builders gives me a variety of opportunities to come up with practical, functional and economical solutions that will best fulfill the client’s requirements.
I design about 25 projects a year.
Starting with an idea, I develop a detailed concept of your home in several steps for your review, including 3D views andrenderings. As we progress in several “e-meetings” or face to face, I draw preliminary plans and final working plans that are clear, precise and to your exact specifications; well understood by everybody before the job starts. This saves time and money on the job.

What is a Building Designer?
A building designer is first and foremost a professional familiar with all facets of the building trade, whose plans and designs represent the particular needs, style and budget of the client.
The work of a building designer is varied and may consist of residential and commercial structures. His approach to any problem is based on the practical, functional and economical solutions that will best fulfill the client’s requirements, while translating these factors into a concept that is both aesthetic and functional.
A building designer offers a complete array of professional services. The prime task is to furnish preliminary and detailed designs for the proposed structure, ranging from the initial concept to complete working drawings and specifications that will comply with applicable building codes.
A building designer may be retained to provide all or any part of the planning, design and construction process as the client desires.
During the initial planning stage, the designer confers thru various means of communication with the client to ascertain type, size and ultimate usage of the structure. He may offer recommendations regarding the site, interior and exterior layout and materials to be used.
What is an e-meeting?
In order to have good interaction with the customer, communication is essential. This can be done in face-to-face meetings, which are only practical when both parties live in close proximity. However, this is seldom the case. E-meetings brings designer and customer together worldwide through the internet. All meeting participants have the same floor plan or 3D views on their monitor in real time on-line. Some folks
call this "screen sharing". Fine tuning of the design is made at that time, with immediate feedback of the customer by checking any change with a camera view.
